East China’s Jiangsu province recorded a year-on-year increase of 29.1% in total profits of state-owned enterprises in the first four months.

From January to April, enterprises under the provincial and municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission recorded operating revenue of 390.32 billion yuan and total profit of 42.9 billion yuan, up 7.6% and 29.1% year on year.

Provincial enterprises recorded an increase of 8% in operating revenue and 41.6% in total profit, providing strong support for the economic and social development of the province.

Xuzhou Coal Mine Group has continuously optimized its production layout and released high-quality production capacity by recording an increase of 11.2% in raw coal production and 16.6% in the cumulative power generation of its controlling power plants from January to April.

“We have formulated 15 hard core measures to highlight key tasks such as deepening investment and reform in economic operation projects, and effectively promote the development of the economy,” said Deng Guoxin, Director of Economic Operation Department of Xuzhou Coal Mine Group.

From January to April, the transportation sector in Jiangsu showed a good recovery growth momentum. The Eastern Airport Group recorded that the airport passenger throughput had recovered to 84.9% of the same period in 2019, and the hotel room and catering revenue in the province increased by over 80% year-on-year.
